Fergana Medical Institute of Public Health (FMIPH) is a premier government medical institution located in the historic and vibrant city of Fergana, Uzbekistan. Tracing its origins back to 1991 as a medical center under Fergana State University, it underwent a major upgrade via Presidential Decree in 2020 to become an independent public institute dedicated to advancing medicine and preventive healthcare.
The institute offers a comprehensive 6-year Doctor of General Medicine (MD) program, which perfectly aligns with the global MBBS counterpart, featuring 5 years of theoretical and clinical instruction followed by a mandatory 1-year clinical internship. Boasting a massive international community that includes over 1,500 Indian students, FMIPH employs full-time Indian faculty members alongside seasoned local professors to deliver an elite, English-medium curriculum. Students receive early, extensive practical exposure at modern simulation centers and a 700-bed affiliated public teaching hospital. The university is officially listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS) and is approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC) of India, FAIMER, and ECFMG.
Academic Criteria: Applicants must have successfully cleared their Higher Secondary Certificate (10+2) or equivalent with core subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
GPA & Age Requirements: A minimum score of 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) for general candidates (40% for reserved categories) is mandatory. The candidate must be at least 17 years old at the time of enrollment.
