Jalalabad Ragib-Rabeya Medical College (JRRMC) is one of the oldest and most prestigious private higher medical landmarks in Bangladesh, established in 1995 through the visionary philanthropy of industrialist Ragib Ali and his wife, Rabeya Khatun Chowdhury. Affiliated with the world-renowned Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), the institution has carved out a brilliant three-decade legacy of clinical brilliance, top-tier research opportunities, and academic integrity.
Superbly spread over a modern 8.22-acre self-contained urban setting in the Pathantula area of Sylhet—a beautiful, culturally rich city surrounded by green tea gardens—the campus provides a peaceful and picturesque environment for intensive medical learning. JRRMC offers a structured 5-year English-medium Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree framework followed by a mandatory 1-year clinical internship. The advanced layout features two massive 10-story academic complexes seamlessly linked to the attached Jalalabad Ragib-Rabeya Medical College Hospital—a giant, fully modernized 925 to 1000-bed multi-specialty teaching hospital, granting international scholars an unparalleled volume of bedside practical case management.
Fully permitted by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of Bangladesh, JRRMC holds premier globally verified accreditations from the Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (BM&DC) and the World Health Organization (WHO), and is fully recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) of India.
